Sorry for the late reply guys @Anduar3@lisaol@fizzy110 @chihuahua1 Thanks! I am so happy about it!!
I can message specific stats if you message me for them, since I haven’t written them all up in one place for cc yet. Generally for numbers, though: SAT 2300+ out of 2400, GPA 3.9+ at a very rigorous high school/college classes program. Asian female (not first-gen) with interests in both humanities and STEM. Nothing particularly spectacular, although I do have a few awards and extracurriculars that are on the stronger side.
I sent a letter of continued interest to my regional admissions officer around 2.5 weeks ago (I was deferred ED), but I never got a response. Should I expect one, or does Brown typically not respond to these emails? Thanks!
@sciencegrl373680 My daughter was deferred and sent one about 10 days ago and added some updates. She received an email that day asking her to link the email to her portal. Then a week later, she recieved an email from her regional admissions officer thanking her for the letter and for updating them on her recent achievements and saying it would be added to her file.
@sciencegrl373680 i uploaded a letter a couple weeks ago on the portal but noticed there’s nothing that shows it uploaded successfully, when you uploaded it to supplementary materials did you notice if it now shows anything in that section?
@aapplicantj from what i’ve read on the brown forum there usually isn’t any indication of your uploaded information other than the successful upload screen
It must depend on your regional admissions person. I sent a letter to mine about a schedule change for my second semester and she responded to me within the day. She also never mentioned anything about uploading the letter to the portal.
I was concerned about this because I uploaded information and didn’t see any indication that I had when I logged in later. I emailed admissions and they assured me that the supplementary info does not appear on the portal.

Someone had mentioned that he or she received an email that said the decision date. But also in this email, the applicant was told that he or she never logged into the portal. I think the email was just sent to people who had never logged into the portal to remind them to log in, and it happened to also state the decision date.
@StillWaitingHere, funny you should mention this, because up until yesterday brown wasn’t on my iDoc list, but as of today it was. I already went through the cycle of panic and speculation about what this means for my chances lol but after googling and looking at past threads, I can see that it means nothing. Brown may request a student to upload more documents via iDoc so that the fin aid department can better asses his/her need. If they don’t request it then they already have what they need to asses your need.
