@educationisgood Got the same thing. My friends were like “OMG YOU’RE SO IN!” and I was like… they probably send it to every legacy.

For your parents - I bet that they are kinda like me. We parents struggle when our kids don’t get what we feel they deserve. So we react with emotion that can sometimes be misinterpreted…your parents could just be plain upset…not with you, but with the outcome. But still, the emotion might FEEL directed at you, partially because you too are upset. Do you see what I mean? All I can say is TRY TRY to NOT feel badly if you don’t get accepted. You have achieved already and you KNOW that you’ve got lots of success in your future. Hang tough.
And hey…I’m rooting for you and can’t wait to hear your good news a week from today! If not, maybe there will be a race to see who starts the Brown ED 2021 Deferred thread! My kid would win except she has basketball practice. Bummer.
@profdad2021 and all our friends here: Thanks for your note! It was so helpful and supportive. I feel like we’ve all done our best. I could have applied ED to a much easier school than Brown, but ultimately decided that I would always wonder what would have been if I hadn’t made the decision to go for Brown. We put ourselves out there, in a risky situation, that has no guarantee for success. And whatever the outcome, we will be rewarded for our aspiration and guts. So, one week from tonight, we will know the decision. But it won’t “make or break” us. We rock!

My friend received an email from her GC stating the release time would be 7PM EST but I’ve been hearing it’s at 5PM EST. Can anyone confirm which one it is?
