I think the Brown people are reading this and laughing at all of us. “Look at those pathetic saps…trying to make correlations between things that have no meaning.” Wow, I AM pathetic. I can’t even think straight. Can’t wait for Wednesday! Wish I could sleep until then.
@nero64 I have a student tab, didnt do summer @ brown
As someone who applied last year, these portal things do not indicate anything about the decision. Don’t stress out too much!
Does anyone here know browns acceptance rate for deferred students? Just curious
@parisgeller Someone told me it’s the same as an unhooked ED applicant, about 15%.
are the hooks being a legacy or athlete?
Ik I should probably move past this, but I’m still freaking out about this. If the photo thing and the supplementary submissions mean anything, then this is what I’ve gathered: I do not have the ability to submit supplementary materials, which means I’m either accepted or rejected or deferred. And I don’t have the photo thing, which means I’m either deferred or rejected, so in my case, it would mean I’m rejected (provided these mean something, hopefully they do not). But I’m not trying to be arrogant here, but I really doubt I got rejected (35, 4.0 UW), So I’m hoping these mean nothing? I just find it odd that people would have different options regarding their applicant portal.
@BrownOrBust999 I doubt you were rejected. Let’s just all take a deep breath and move past this.
@BrownOrBust999 you definitely need to breathe. None of those signs mean anything and you can’t conclude your decision based upon insignificant stuff like that. Not to mention that there’s no way to verify that everyone on here is telling the truth, or if they’re just not looking in the right places.
You will get the decision when it comes out. Sorry to be blunt but it is very unhealthy to obsess over small stuff like this.
are the hooks being a legacy or athlete?
Yeah, plus minority.
Lol this page is chaos. People be doing a statistical analysis, lab report, and research investigation on the meaning of a banner id.
Hey, found a helpful page for finding your Banner ID:

Reading this thread is killing me. Y’all made me more anxious with your “detective” work in the last two days than I had ever been in the last month. Just try to relax and stop lurking on the Brown portal. I know it’s not easy but decisions are not far.
Hi,
If I get in, I don’t think I’m going to believe it. Would it be odd if I called admissions after I get accepted (if this happens, even though there is a less than 5% chance I get accepted)?
@allima do you have a legitimate question for them? if not i see no reason to call them
I completely agree with @dt8050. Now is the time to revisit our applications and be proud of what we accomplished over the past four years. Every single person here is talented beyond measure and doesn’t deserve to be constantly stressed out by admissions decisions. Regardless of what happens in three days, remember that someone somewhere is amazed by how hard you have worked to be an outstanding applicant for Brown University.
@dt8050 it would be to verify an acceptance because it seems so unlikely that I will get accepted.
and i would also need to verify considering there’s been so many glitches with the portal
Sorry to add to the stress, I just am super anxious and desperately seeking a sign. Can everyone log on to this? https://payment.brown.edu/
@India1234 I could log in, but first I had to consent to receive something with the IRS electronically? What is that site?
