Guys, even if you do get in, they’re not going to set up an email address for every accepted student. I was accepted ED and I don’t remember getting a Brown email until June or July. Please, just calm down and wait a few more days.
Just to let you all know-- I was accepted to BU and I can’t access orgsync with my BU login. I don’t have any assumptions/ideas on what this means-- just interesting.
Same ^^
It probably doesn’t mean anything at this point, guys.
any brown 2020 people wanna share what their acceptance letters look like? just so we know what to look out for when i open the portal
any waitlist or rejection letters are helpful too!
Look for “congratulations” I would assume…
@takinpelu Here is the online notification for accepted students from last year (Class of 2020). Good luck to you all!

Dear Son of ChartresBlue,
Congratulations! I am delighted to inform you that the Board of Admission has voted to admit you to Brown University’s Class of 2020. The Board has carefully reviewed more than 32,000 applicants and has selected those men and women who will bring to The College an extraordinary array of talents and interests. You and your 1,665 classmates will be welcomed into a vital and vibrant community of scholars and leaders with a centuries- old tradition of academic excellence. Each of you was chosen not only for what we believe you can contribute to our academic community, but also for what you will gain from the wonderful opportunities that distinguish and define undergraduate education at Brown.
You will receive an official admission decision letter and packet in the mail. Be sure to visit our website for admitted students to learn more about Brown, including information about our campus visitation program: A Day on College Hill. If you are a candidate for financial aid, information regarding your financial aid award is available online. We encourage you to contact the Office of Financial Aid with any questions.
Beginning on April 1 you may notify us of your decision by logging back into this site. The deadline to reply is midnight May 2. Prior to your enrollment next fall we expect you to maintain academic and social records of the same high quality that you have demonstrated in your career thus far. If you have any questions between now and your matriculation, do not hesitate to ask us.
On behalf of the entire Brown community, please accept my congratulations on your admission and we look forward to welcoming you to campus next fall.
Yours sincerely,
James S. Miller Dean of Admission"
Basically if they start with anything other than “congratulations”, it’s not good news. I did a screenshot of each one my son received last year and all 13 started with that word. Good luck to all of you!
“Congratulations” or “it gives me great pleasure to inform you” I think are most common
Well that email just about gave me a heart attack.
Same lol
so…
Why are some decisions coming out a 5:00 vs 5:30 PM? My friend’s email said 5:30 but mine says 5:00 and I am confused as to why. Both of us are east coast.
@kalons probably same :((
would it be wrong to call them about it?
Nope, do it
hmm idk if an applicant should call since they might get annoyed
I don’t like to read into things but this is really strange.
Maybe different times for deferred ED vs. RD applicants?
