brown,upenn,hopkins,wesleyan...

ok, everybody else is doing it and i definitely have more reason to worry than these perfect valedictorian types.

stats
sat I 1560 (780/780)
sat IIs - writing 800, spanish 750, mathIIc, 680 (but i just retook math today and spanish while i was at it. i don't feel like i did that well. for the math, does anybody know what raw score is still 800, so i can have some idea? i definitely left like 6 blank.)
act - 34

IB exams - SL history, 6 SL spanish, 6
i'm ib diploma, by the way.
GPA - 4.17 weighted; 3.nothing good i-don't-even-know-what unweighted (this one time i got a d in spanish.) (it was horrible) (and a mistake, which i make up for sorta with scores, but i worry not enough)

ECs - swim team, all four years; been playing piano since i was 6 and i've entered competitions and stuff but haven't won anything big; did cancer research at ucolorado c.springs and got a first prize at state science fair and a scholarship and other cool things; president of theater club and actress and singer, etc; i did some public speaking once and i've worked on political campaigns, and community service, but its req. for ib so i don't think it really counts...

i havent' sent my apps in because i am like a god among procrastinators. so my essay right now consists of my musings on the definition of like passion or science or some mopey whiney teen angst day-in-my-life. so that's actually like 3 essays i have going because i am also indecisive.

in order that i wont get in: brown, upenn, wesleyan (conn), hopkins, oberlin, colorado college, cu-boulder

my dad went to penn and hopkins, my mom went to cc, i babysit for the local alumni rep from wes' kids. but none of these people endowed any hospitals or anything.
the only minority status i have is that i'm from colorado.

and i'm scared.

wait- national merit! i forgot, i'm national merit.

Your SAT I score is great, but Brown will be hard for you to get into cause they aren't very SAT oriented. Penn is not guaranteed for you, but I think you'll get in everwhere else.

im gonna keep posting replies to my own messages so they keep popping to the top of the list. maybe i should add persistence to my extracurricular list, i think that'd be where it'd apply.
