<p>I was notified yesterday (May 13th) of my acceptance off the waitlist! The admissions officer called my councillor first and then called me at around 11:30 am yesterday to tell me the news and the next steps in the process. I should be getting a packet in the mail for accepted students in the next few days. The officer told me that “they were just starting” to notify waitlisted people of their acceptance. I go to a pretty well known private school so that may have helped my chances in getting off the waitlist. Good luck to all of you!</p>
<p>When do you think they will start admitting? </p>
<p>I believe the officer said I have two or three weeks to respond to the admission offer. He told me to wait until my packet comes in the mail before I back out of my commitment to my may 1st college and accept the offer at Brown.</p>

<p>How do you think they will inform internationals? Obviously they wont call…</p>

<p>We have a small number of spaces available in the Class of 2018. Brown will be offering these spaces on a rolling basis through mid June.–This is on the website I think they wrote ‘through the end of may’ before, Am I wrong?</p>
<p>where did you guys commit already? some of you seem so distraught if you dont get off waitlist. If on Brown waitlist, you must have good schools committed to?</p>
<p>It was between BU and NYU for me… Chose BU</p>
<p>Just got in! They called at 11.30. Also, I go to a public school, no one in my family has ever gone to brown (or an Ivy for that matter), but I did not apply for financial aid. Good luck everybody! Withdrawing from Chicago waitlist now. </p>

<p>To the people who got in, are you Male or Female?</p>
<p>Hey, I have a problem. My school doesn’t allow cell phones at school, so I have to leave mine at home. Would that affect my chances if an admissions officer calls me? Also, my counselor is a teacher at my school, so she is most of her time giving class, not in her office. If Brown calls her, and she isn’t able to respond to the call, will that affect my chances too? I’m just trying to be positive about my chances of being accepted at Brown.
