Bruin card?!

i’ve got the same notification.
received as of 5/21.
my orientation is on 6/30.

There is a bruincard center near the housing area on the hills.

same status message at june 5th. i think everyone should make it one time? my orientation is on july 10th

Two places for BruinCard pickup are:

123 Kerckhoff Hall

150A Sproul Hall

Hey but I wonder how they would know which office I’d be going to pick my card up LOL!

got the message that mine is the status of 5/18! yayyy

You can go have your pic taken now or wait till orientation. I went to take my pic last week and the lady said I would get it at orientation. I told her I had signed up for a summer class and she said I would get it right there. It took like 3 minutes from taking the pic to printing out the card.

My pic sucks, but at least I have my BruinCard!

heh ***. i just checked it and:

Thank you! We have received your photo and Terms & Conditions form. Unfortunately, the photo you sent did not meet our criteria and/or the application is missing one or more information.

…were they planning on letting me know? and is it really that difficult to tell me exactly what was wrong with it?

called and they said that i’ll receive more information by the 15th. frown

was it a passport photo (2x2) with a white background?

yep.

10char

for those who haven’t taken a 2x2 photo, you should consider costco. you get 2 pictures for 5 bucks. they probably charge you more at orientation or maybe you could bring your picture when you get to orientation.

yup! I took mine at Costco and though the pic sucks, it works perfectly well at a great price. And since nobody cares what you look like on BruinCard (I suppose?), I definitely recommend people do the same.

i took it myself with my laptop webcam…its not hard ppl!

You don’t get charged for your first BruinCard, that includes the photo. So you can wait until orientation if you want to, though there might be a long wait on orientation day.

WHAT it’s freeee?? i was assuming they charged for the pictures because they charge for everything else. thanks DJ!

heh, I sent in a legitimate (and expensively taken) passport photo and they rejected it… again… after the last one I sent. I’m just not going to bother with these stupidos, and wait around until they make me take the picture and print out the damn card right there.

if you take the photo at ucla it is free, i just did this and she said it would show up a week before my orientation or I could pick it up at orientation if not.

Got my Bruin card!

what date does it say they received it on myUCLA?

*by ‘it’, i mean your info.

Also, which orientation are you attending?
