For me, who didn’t attend either schools, it wouldn’t be a choice, I would chose Bryant hands down, however, I’m sure some Bentley kids might tell you differently. The only thing that matters is what you think. You’re the one who has to actually go to school there. I mean there’s no doubt in anyones mind that Bryant will blow up into a nationally prestigious school any year now, Bentley has slipped about 10 spots over the last 5-7 years. But I mean rankings mean nothing. The fact is you have to look at both schools and decide which one is the best for you. Do you like the classic look of Bentley, or the modern technology look of Bryant? It’s a tough choice theyre both great schools.

Is this even a question? Hasn’t Bentley dropped like 10 spots? Please Bentley has lost its touch, Bryant and Babson are the best business schools in the northeast. Bentley has let itself go, its too bad because I used to think it was one of the better schools, obv behind babson and bryant, but it was up there, The three B’s are always in competition for the best business schools in the northeast. Unfortunately for Bentley it has been labeled as the worst in the Northeast simply because it has not kept up with the technology of the other two, but its still a decent school. If you’re a business major and you can’t get into Babson or Bryant then deff apply to Bentley as your safety, you’re guaranteed admition to a decent school for a great price, if you didnt get into babson or bryant, apply to bentley because it’s a great safetly business school!

Oi! I got denied to Babson, waitlisted to Bentley, and into bryant with money so…

LOL, and i got accepted to Babson today as a transfer

soxfan1 must be smoking something. Bryant is not in the same league as Bentley and never has been. It has always been the place where Bentley rejects attend - even back in the 70’s and 80’s. Bryant students frequently transfer to Bentley. I can assure you that Bentley students do not transfer to Bryant - it would be considered a step down.

Bryant does not even have a discussion forum here and is not ranked as high as Bentley in every relevant publication. You won’t even find Bryant in some of the more prestigious college guides (Fiske for example).

This year, my neighbor’s kid (a mediocre B/C student), was offered a substanial merit scholarship at Bryant and was not even admitted to Bentley. This is the sad truth that may be hard to swallow for current Bryant students or alumni. Bryant is a decent school, but way below Bentley or Babson.

I would go with Bentley

Not a big fan of either of these schools…Bentley is almost like a trade school with only concentrations within finance and accounting. Doesn’t offer much unless your going for business and even at that its over shadowed by some of the larger schools in boston such as BC, Northeastern, and BU. I’m not a big fan of Bryant either almost like bentley but more bsuiness oriented i guess. The quality of students are worse at Bryant i believe.

Bentley has alot more than accounting and finance and is far from a trade school. They have a full range of business majors and some liberal arts majors too. Maybe superstar12 was reading a Bentley catalog from 1969 or something. Superstar12 seems to say alot of things that are not backed up by facts, based on many other of his/her posts I have read.

Bryant has some interesting programs with Math and Finance. To me the campus looks like an office park in suburban New Jersey. But the thing no one has mentioned is that there is nothing to do from that campus without a car. There is nothing to walk to. It is a remote location. Bentley is in the Boston suburbs.

If you want to study something other than Business, it seems Babson comes out ahead.

Babson only has business. Bentley has business plus a few liberal arts majors.

WS17 notes,"If you want to study something other than Business, it seems Babson comes out ahead. "

Response: Gotta love the misinformation here. Have you ever looked at the course catalog from any of the three schools mentioned? Bryant does offer a lot of non business majors that aren’t available at either Bentley or Babson such as Biotechnology, Communication, English etc. Thus, if you are not sure that you want to major in business, Bryant would probably be the better alternative…

However, if you are sure that you want to major in business or a business related area such as finance, accounting, entrepreneural studides, Both Bentley and Babson have much better reputations, have higher admission standards, and have a stronger alumni base.

Bentley and Babson may look similar at first. They are both very business oriented. They are both Mass schools. They offer a lot of similar majors;however, they have a very different feel and culture. Babson is very entrepreneurial based. If that is what you want you would be better off there. However, they also have a much bigger cut throat culture than that of Bentley.

Bentley has very strong programs in finance and accounting. Both schools should be visited.

not to steal anyone’s thunder, but I’ve always wondered why people go to schools such as Bentley and Bryant.
call me ignorant or w/e, but I never really understood.

taxguy, I stand corrected.

I am the only one who had never heard of either of these schools before CC?

I’ve posted this elsewhere on another thread, but FYI – American Enterprise Inst just published graduation rates (June, 2009). Babson (89%) and Bentley (87%) both rank in top 10. Bryant is far behind - at 74%. As a parent (and for the student), that is a very important difference. Website is aei.org. Name of publication, avail online, is "Diplomas and DropOuts, Which Schools Actually Graduate Their Students

you could look at it as “which school actually graduates their students” or “which school demands a harder curiculum to graduate their students” Between the three bryant obviously has the highest job placement rank…no one in their right mind can argue that, look at any statistical college rank. Do you look at the glass as half empty or half full? Again, this comes from a business man who has preached Bentley to his nephew from NY many a time. Then, looking at what Bryant has to offer, it is a no-brainer to me which of the “3 B’s” is the best. I am a converted Bryant fan. Look at that as a bias is you may.

I was hoping that there would be someone out there who has recent (like 2010 or 2011) opinion on choosing between Bryant or Bentley? I am interested in getting a good education but also really want to make sure I meet fun students and am happy at school. I am interested in studying marketing and communication and not accounting and finance. Is Bentley too accounting and finance oriented?

In my opinion Bryant is the best out of all three, with Babson in second and Bentley a close third, however they are all great prestigious schools. Bryant’s job placement is far above the other two however, and they are growing more and more every year. Bryant is going to blow up big time in the next couple years, they are always expanding and now they are D1 while Bentley is d2 and babson d3. Bryants campus is very modern and i like it much better then babson and bentleys. babson is only about 1800 students while bryant and bentley are both about 4000. bentley and babson kids are very stuck up. also from what ive heard and experienced, bryant is a WAY bigger party school then the other two. I would go to Bryant, youll have more fun, its truly amazing there.

I’m reading this and trying to digest…

I’m a rising senior, and fell in love with Babson (even during a Feb trip and I’m from FL)!!

Bentley isn’t known as well outside the NE/Northeast, whereas Babson gets kudos everywhere.

There definitely seemed to be a dichotomy btwn the ‘haves’ and ‘have not-so-much’ at Babson, but I’m kinda used to that where I live.

Guess I will apply to all and see what happens

From what I know, Bentley spends a large portion of their money providing scholarship to their students. Thus, almost everyone who goes to Bentley gets some type of scholarship.

I’ll be honest with you. If you’re going to take Accounting or Finance in university, Bentley is much better for you. Theres only TWO universities in the US that has a Wall Street based trading room. Bentley is one of them (source: university counsellor). Bentley was ranked 21 in businessweek in 2010. (source: [Top Undergraduate Business Programs 2010 - Businessweek](<a href=“Bloomberg - Are you a robot?”>Bloomberg - Are you a robot?)) As well, Bentley’s graduating rate is 80%(top 100 in US) and the 65% of their graduates got a job offer by graduation. To me, this is pretty convincing stats which I will def look into when comparing universities. I hope this helps!

Note: I have no idea about Bryant so I wont provide any info about them
