Kiddo1 has been back since the end of August and she’s so happy. Of course she still has moments where she feels overwhelmed, but she’s truly found her place(s) at school.
I don’t think it’s unusual at all for a new student to feel unsettled at this point. Enjoy your visit with her, and remind her of all the reasons she chose her school, and confidently let her know that she will find her place in time. If things seem truly overwhelming, don’t hesitate to reach out to her advisor / dorm head etc. But really, it’s way too early to be worried!! She’ll get there!!!
