BS in healthcare management, thoughts??

so i was going to do at nursing degree and the classes dont work at all with my work schedule ( unfortunately for me leaving full time work is NOT an option).

So i was looking at online classes at the local private school and i thought the accelerated BS in healthcare managment looked perfect for me. However ive been reading everywhere online that you will absolutely not find a job without a masters degree in this field…and almozt certainly will not get employed unless you are a former or current nurse licensure.

Any thoughts on this degree and field? Should i choose somethint diff or should i go for the healthcare management.

If you want to be a nurse, why not try to attend part-time and fit the classes around your work schedule? Healthcare management and nursing are very different with different career trajectories, and it may not be best to discard your career goal to be a nurse over what amounts to temporary scheduling difficulties.

It’s not true that you can’t get jobs in healthcare management without a nursing degree. Many (most?) health administrators aren’t nurses. However, it IS true that you are far more marketable in the healthcare management field (especially clinical management) if you have licensure as a nurse and some nursing experience. Lots and lots of jobs within healthcare management really prefer RNs with at least 3 years of hospital experience, especially if the job involves managing care providers or people who affect care in the hospital.
