***BS/MD Interview Notification for Class of 2013***

Last year the drexel/drexel notifications came on Sunday 1/29. All in one batch. So should be any day now…

@sjshah glad to know i’m not the only one. lets hope i’ll make it into one of the undergrad schools i want to go to. won’t mind regular route that way :)

I got into Nova but I applied for Nova/Penn dental. Anyone apply for ROchester or WashU?

@ pink rose do u mind posting stats?

any interviews out there from CWRU PPSP?

anyone in albany for an interview tomorrow?

umedbro - i agree with matrix007. i would not let the colleges entice me by saying you can try early assurance. if they really like a person they would call during the bs/ba md process itself. so better to go to colleges that gave you an interview now.

busy travel schedules …albany, gw, penn state, boston, umkc and one local while waiting to hear from the last couple.

i’m willing to pay anyone who tells BU to call me when/if they call you for an interview this week! it’s the last week that they’re notifying which means if I don’t get a call this week it’s a rejection :frowning: I’m being 100% serious, I will pay you guys if you refer them to me and I’m sure if enough people do it BU might actually consider calling me!

fallpsat - what are your stats and how many BS/MD program did you apply to?

@sanguinee: may I ask what your stats are? I’m just curious to know if there is something we both don’t have that’s making us not get interviews.

Just logged into my BU account- at least they still acknowledge the fact that I applied to the medical program haha. That little ounce of hope still survives…

@sjshah yeah i logged on right now too and realized the same thing. do you mind posting your stats? i’m trying to figure out what i didn’t have/what didn’t get me an interview with BU…

SAT: 2240, SATII: MathII: 730, Chem: 720, Extracurriculars: so many, mostly humanitarian efforts (Prez of 2 clubs, VP of 1 club, treasurer of senior class, board member 1 organization), as well as track and field, and varsity XC, 103.2 GPA, public school, rank: 7/550, hospital volunteer, physician shadowing, raised money for United Way, Ronald McDonald House, Project Eliminate (about $12,000 for all combined), student of the month, hooks: was ranked 220/550 at beginning of freshman year…now I’m in the top 10 people (so improvement?), nursing home volunteer, on televised quizbowl show (one of 6 in school).

sjshah your stats are very similar to mine. Could it be that your recos or essays weren’t that great?

To all PLME applicants: When you check the status of your application, does it say anywhere that you applied to PLME? I’m looking at the “Brown Academic Program(s) of Interest” and it just mentions the concentrations that I’m interested in… Should I be concerned?

My essays were pretty good, I think. And I chose my chem and psychology teacher for recommendations and truly built a strong relationship w/ them and they knew how hard I worked and how much i liked the subject, so I don’t think they would write anything but the best recommendations. Hopefully it’s because BU lost my application and found it much later (like January 2nd…) that they haven’t gotten back to me yet. They said since it was their fault, they would give me equal consideration, however, so I am truly hoping that it’s just a matter of them getting back to me this week b/c of them not having enough time to look it over yet. Boston would be one of my top choices. What do you think? Is this a reasonable assumption?

Never assume, that’s something I know well. That is good about your recos. Just stay hopeful.

I find it extremely disconcerting that I haven’t been accepted to Drexel ug yet

Just call a call from Dr Pence UAB EMSAP program, I got in ,they accepted 10 out of 30 of us that interviewed on thursday/
Friday
