bs/md program question

So I hear that getting into a bs/md program is extremely difficult?
I know that it is different for every collge…
So to be specific, how is getting accepted in the 8 years guranteed program in Uni of Pitt?
Thank you in advance!

It can be difficult. You’re expected to have a high GPA and a very good SAT score (at least in the 1400-1500 CR+M range) Some programs even want you to have certain level of shadowing experience. It’s not required but they would like to see it.

Not sure about Pitt. You’d have to research the stats range of people who have been accepted and see how you fit in there. Have you taken the PSAT/SAT/ACT yet? What’s your GPA? Are you a junior?

@emily09098‌
I saw your SAT score in another post, and frankly, it’s too low for any BSMD program that I know. You might have better chances with instate programs though. Are you instate for Pitt? These programs are highly competitive and you want to have 2250+ for the SAT and as high of a GPA as possible.

it was my psat score and i didn’t study at all for it haha

@burningred‌ so i’m hoping it gets better by junior or senior year
