@DADforExcellence Maybe that or they want the applicant to academically mature a bit more before entering.

Accepted to College of Communications for Film. Had the thank you letter and could access the housing site. 33 ACT/34 Superscore. From CA.

Hey guys,
I got rejected from BU but I have seen other posters on this thread with the guaaranteed transfer option.
On my admissions letter it says,
“Should you remain interested in Boston University, you may consider the possibility of transferring to BU after two semesters of strong academic work at another accredited college or university. Each year, we enroll students through our transfer admission program, and we would welcome the opportunity to discuss this option with you”

Is this a G.Transfer option or am I just hallucinating?

Yep, that it.

@DADforExcellence
Wait is what i received the G. transfer option?

Accepted as of this morning. ACT score of 31., IB/AP student, and work experience. I am from Texas.

Seems like BU’s RD acceptance rate is pretty low. Does anybody know approximately what it is?

If it a guaranteed transfer the letter would say guaranteed.

@hoghedge @camwow I got the same thing but mine said “you are one of a select group of students to whom we are offering guaranteed admission as a transfer student to the College of Arts & Sciences for September 2018”… is that what you guys got?

@DADforExcellence I got the same thing. Mine said “you are one of a select group of students to whom we are offering guaranteed admission as a transfer student to the College of Arts & Sciences for September 2018.” I don’t know what it’s about, but BU is my top school. I am planning on taking their offer. Is he planning on accepting the offer? I looked into it and it’s non-binding

@Hopeful-TBivy I don’t think that is guaranteed. I would check. Mine actually said the word guaranteed in the letter. Double check to be sure

@jackwang0703 It was a 25% acceptance rate this year https://www.bu.edu/admissions/about-bu/profile/

Wow damn BU doesn’t seem like a top 40 school at all from these stats
