@MrElonMusk sorry bruh. i was deferred ED and everyone with the message I had was deferred and everyone who had “thank you” was admitted. there is no clear evidence that it’s the same for RD but I have a reason to be thinking about messages as it was a clear indicator for my first admissions review
@heyheyheyheyhey i think that for ED our records was deferred and thank you was accepted OR denied. at least i was deferred with our records and in the EDII thread many ppl out rejected with thank you
I was accepted EDI and yeah, the “thank you” and “our records” is true. Seems weird that you guys are going through what I went through way back in December… anyways good luck to all of you… and hopefully BU wont be filled with a thousand premeds lol
I think it’d be really beneficial for future years if when we get our results, we post our result AND the admission status (Thank you vs our records indicate). That way, we can determine for certain if there is a correlation between the two
I know that the message doesn’t matter, but isn’t it a little weird that my message would change to “Thank you…” today? Also request for senior year grades was added today for me too. sorry to annoy anyone
Since I got into NEU honors program (have known since February) do I have a chance at BU? I have good stats, 3.97 UW 4.24 W 35 ACT and strong ECs but I still feel like I have no chance at an acceptance from BU because the admission rate is going down so much also I am from California idk if that would change anything tho
@amigadelauni, your only worry is if BU is concerned about their yield. Admissions will wonder if admitted would you fly across the country to a school costing +70k with your great stats.
Yeah @kidodie that’s what’s im worried about, that they will decrease the acceptance rate so much for oos kids to increase their yield that to get in you’d have to be an excellent applicant. And @greenfrogmemes I had no idea if I would have a chance being oos and with their decreasing rate, because I know that schools in the same vicinity don’t necessarily have a huge correlation on the types of applicants they will accept
