BU vs. Villanova

Well I have been accepted to BU and Villanova and am weighing my options.

Both schools, on the outside, seem to be right up my alley. So, I’m looking to get the inside scoop on the two of them…

Anyone care to share their opinions on some of the pro/cons?

PLEASE CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG HERE!!! What am I missing here? I thought any early admission to Boston University was through an Early DECISION response. If that's the case, you're acceptance to BU is binding and you need to withdraw your applications to any other school to which you've applied. Your acceptance to Villanova must have been through Early ACTION. Unless the BU website is incorrect and/or things have changed, BU's early decision is a binding acceptance...you need to withdraw your application to Villanova.

Villanova does have an early action option - but - decisions are not posted until December 20th.

Spring Transfer

Well, Villanova is Catholic and is in the suburbs while BU is not religious and is in the heart of Boston. I have no idea how the schools compare in your areas of interest.

Thank you for the clarification. BU is an urban campus. Villanova is not. BU is also quite a bit larger than Villanova. Both are fine schools. I guess it depends on what you are looking for, and as pointed out above, what your major is. Also, where are you transfering from...do you want a completely different kind of school or something similar.

I'm a BU student who's leaving to go to school in Philadelphia. I live right near Nova, 10 mins. away. Had I been able to get into Nova, I would definitely have gone there over BU.
