as a current villanova student... i must warn you--- if you're not catholic, do not go to this school if you do not want to be bombarded with religion everyday (both academically and socially)

If I had to choose I would definitely pick nova.. Campus is gorgeous, close to Philly, excellent reputation.. A short while ago Villanova was an upper average school but it has exploded in to a highly competitive and highly thought of school.. My dad went there in the 60's when it was a commuter school and really nothing special but now people think he's insanely smart because he went there.. basically, it will look excellent when applying for jobs.. Plus in my own preference, its athletics (namely basketball) and school spirit are as good as you'll see so the students are all very close.. I'd go with Nova but hey Boston is a great city

I feel like the decision you should make has A LOT to do with your personality and the kind of college experience your looking for. Villanova is a very Catholic, white , conservative campus that is known for its homogenous student body. (I go to school very, very closeby and can certainly verify that this is very true). If your more liberal, not very religious or tend to prefer/feel more comfortable amongst a more diverse student body, I would suggest Boston University. Academically, there are differences but I believe the differences are fairly negligible. The one issue that may arise with Boston University is the large class sizes. You should surely consider how important class size is to you. A large class size can definitely make for an alienating and overwhelming college experience.
