**Bulletin** Tlaktan

Tlaktan, please, did you get in???!!! The EA crew would love to know I'm sure. P.S., babybird, sorry.

Of all sad words of tongue and pen, saddest are those: it might have been.

Oh not that quote again! It's so sad. :(

Tlak- did you get in?! We're all waiting with baited(sp?) breath. Good luck.

PS- babybird- you'll do wonderfully wherever you go!

I do not know yet; the mail takes a little longer in California.

Here's for hoping. crosses fingers

ha, i wish i had a thread named after me. lol.

IIIIIII have one.... even though it's the Brown forum. :D

Guys.....please do me and your nails a favor and go to the freakin GAAP site

http://gaap.georgetown.edu/openhouse/index.cfm

they gave us an id and your password is last 4 digits of social security no.

if you're in, it tells you. If it won't let you access, you're waitlisted or ......well...you know

-H20-

Oh, and you all can thank me later for saving you at least 2 more days of turmoil!!!!

Wait for your letter...let's not forget about the Harvard incident, no??

Harvard incident????

Hmm..I think there is big difference between hacking into a system and logging into a student database with a university supplied ID..But, just remember kiddies..if you come up unknown in the system, that doesn't mean you're not in..the GAAP representative may not have entered you in yet since they're on break..

The, um, Harvard incident is precisely why I'm not going into that GAAP site. That, and the anticipation is killing me, but not to the point where I'm driving myself nuts.

tlaktan.. i thought u got in!
and u checked the site!!!

The system WAS hacked into; however the "instructions" on how to get into the system after it was originally hacked in were spread around via the internet. Any student who used this 'backdoor' to get into the Harvard admissions; regardless of their application status, were REJECTED and sent on there merry way.

Yeah, the GAAP site is completely public, and no "hacking" occurs. This situation is very different from the Harvard one. There is no possible way anyone could get in trouble for this.

Bump, please notify us tlaktan.

Well, everyone's been waiting. Heh.

congrats...what did you do when you opened the letter? Give us details!!! We deserve to hear after praying and hoping with you for so long!!! :) :) :)

I have a cold, so I couldn't really jump for joy. I was really mad because the postman didn't put the things in the mailbox but slid it under the gate which really ticked me off because it was raining and blah..

I was ecstatic, of course, and I still am! Words really can't describe what I'm going through right now. I was a bit depressed watching the decisions roll in RD, and I was sort of psyched out.. but hey..

Wow, I hope you know that you really beat the odds. While everyone was cheering you on these past few months, I was muttering under my breath "just give it up, deferred=rejected" Well, you proved me wrong.

Yeah. I personally became a little depressed when I kept seeing "1500-WAITLIST.. 1460-REJECTED" and everyone had amazing stats.. I know what the deferral/acceptance rate is..

oh, congratulations, tlaktan!
