Busch Campus vs College Avenue Campus for an engineer

Hi CC, i'm enrolled to Rutgers School of Engineering for the fall 2012 semester and i'm in a bit of a dilemma trying to choose where to live for next year. I'm deciding between Busch campus (barr engineering living learning community) and trying my chances at college ave. I visited the campuses today and liked the overall atmosphere of the college ave campus better but i'm worried that itll be too distracting for me and i wont get my work done, in addition to being farther away from my classes. if anyone has any experience as an engineering major on college ave or as someone who had similar thoughts it would be very helpful to hear your insight..thanks

I would suggest Busch. Engineering is a demanding major, and being among other engineering students would provide a support network that might mean the difference between success and failure.

You can go to College Ave on the weekends.

100% busch. Most of my friends at Rutgers are in engineering. I have a few friends in barr and they like it there. most of your classes will be on busch as well. If you’re worried about being distracted by college ave, trust me you will. Busch is pretty quiet and studious, but there are things to do as well. College ave is just one bus ride away.

And you can always move to College Ave after your first year if you decide that’s where you want to be!
