i was thinking about joining the scholars program so it will look good to increase my chance of getting into haas, but i just realized, not one course that is related to business is honors except for econ 102 and english 101 and 102

ther only ones that have is is sciences and art and poli sci, am i expected to take these as honor courses as well or haas would not care as much because it is not my major?

Honors classes are important for UCLA more than Cal, but it would be wise to look good in both of their eyes. They're both so impacted for biz it's alomst a crap shoot with even a 4.0, etc.

I always thought that being TAP certified meant nothing to Berkeley since they don't offer it...

tap certified does mean nothing for berkeley

i dont think my school has tap ive never heard of it

we have the scholars program where you take the honor classes, is this the one your sayin i should not join?

we also have ags- which is alpga gamma sigma which is sort of honors but its more like a club...would this be a good club to join for haas?

Scholars Program is basically TAP. And yeah, joining AGS certainly couldn't hurt your application to Haas. What're the eligibility requirements to join AGS?

well its hard to believe that scholars program would mean nothing to haas, i see how they dont have it but they would know that its harder and wouldnt they think of it as a good thing?

i dont know the eligibility, but every club that im going to join is in the fall after i have 12 units 4.0 (mass comm, then 9 units in summer) and that way i will be eligible for everything

Any idea on what clubs you plan on joining? And is that 12 unit requirement to join any club or just honor clubs like AGS?

no clue yet, ive gone and asked questions and they keep telling me to wait...i dont want to join a lot though, what about you?

I wanna join one, maybe two but not sure on which ones. I really wanna work on getting an internship but it seems like a challenge for a first year CC student. But above all, I don't wanna overdue anything at the cost of my GPA. Grades first.

yeah I thought it would be really easy to manage a job and school and i just thought of this, i was planning on workign at a bank in 2 months and take classes at my school...the bank is around 8-6, i would then have to drive to school and stay until 9, i do not think studying for 2 hours would be good if i even did study that long (id be tired and angry)...id have school everyday just like work, how would it be possible?

im assuming the bank would make me work every day from 8-6

If you can find a job at the bank with flexible hours then I'm sure you can manage both school and work but it seems kind of a long shot. I figure I'll need around 3-5 hours a day for hw/studying.
