Business Attire??

What are we supposed to wear to the interviews, examples would be great

a conservative suit, not too flashy...you could even not wear a jacket...just make sure you have a tie ^_^

gotta wear dress shoes? would school color tie seem cheesy/trying to hard?

Are interviews supposed to be that dressy in general, or specifically USC? Because I just wore dressy khakis, Diesel shoes, and a woven (no tie) for Princeton and that seemed appropriate...

for my interview, i wore black pin striped pants, a green shirt, a matching black tie with green insets, and nice, black leather pumas with green laces. i think it's ok to have a tiny bit of flare as long as it's nice. the most important thing would be to avoid anything that could be deemed as "ratty." just make sure what you wear doesn't look like it's been worn by a homeless person.

So, what should you wear if you're female? My mom assumed it was a "worst case scenario" thing, and I just spent four fruitless hours looking for an unadorned black blazer and matching black skirt with no pinstripes, petite, size 0 or 2, made of wool, and well lined.

Haha, it's ok if it has pinstripes and is slightly adorned...

But I can empathize with having to find the size 2 petite stuff. It's a pain...

Business attire is most definitely a suit, even for a girl. I would say if you look nice, though, it's ok if it's not extremely conservative. Suits don't have to be completely black. Usually juniors sections in department stores have cute suits, and ditto with stores like New York & Co. If you're not on a budget, Bebe is good. You just have to make sure it's conservative in a sense that it's not provocative...because I am really surprised at some of the stuff that passes for "business attire" and yet is a really low cut shirt and/or the slit up the skirt is to my crotch :D.

I didn't wear a suit (as a female). I wore a nice black skirt and a sweater top with heels. Nothing too revealing, but certainly put together. Actually, the interviewers would probably love it if you were a guy in a USC tie. Making it clear that you are interested in USC is important in the interview.
