Business Premed?

I heard of some people doing a Business/Premed major. Right now, I was fine with Psychology/Premed, but I'm considering going into business because it's a pretty good back up plan.
How does this work?...doing business/premed? is it like double majoring? My dad told me that normally I would just do the business core and use all my electives for the premed track. The Mccombs site says that there's about 60 hours of non-business electives in the degree. But the degree plans (finance) show like only 6 hours.

If someone is in business/premed, are they just doing general business without declaring their business major?

Oh, it is a good idea to transfer? I'm a freshman now, and so far all my class would count towards either business or psychology. But I only took the two Calc sequences--no economics yet. My GPA now is 3.8125.

No idea about transferring, but my brother did exactly what you are talking about. He majored in finance, but got the prereqs out for med school. They have an advisor there that specializes in what you are talking about. I can pm you her name if you need it. Goodluck

please do
thanks!
