Hi guys I’m an international student thinking about studying business in UW. I know it’s a fabulous school! But I want to know more about the job opportunities in business related field in Seattle. I heard Seattle is more tech reliant though.
Where do UW business grads usually work in? How difficult is it for international students to get a green card through work experience?

Any info would be appreciated!

Can’t provide any info on international student work, but a “Linkedin” search on UW students and alumni shows that those who study “Business Administration and Management” and “Economics” work for these employers and under these industries:

Employers (Top 5, more concentrated in first 2):

  1. Boeing
  2. Microsoft
  3. Amazon (distant third)
  4. T-Mobile
  5. Starbucks

Industries (Top 10, more even distribution but close race between first 3):

  1. Sales
  2. Finance
  3. Operations
  4. Information Tech
  5. Entrepreneurship
  6. Program and Project management
  7. Research
  8. Consulting
  9. Education
  10. Marketing
