Buying college apparel when you haven't been accepted

Central Michigan Chippewas

I don’t own any college apparel, just because I would just feel weird wearing it if I wasn’t going to actually attend that school. Especially since most of my schools are reaches. XD

…I’m waiting 'til May. :)

Hmm.
I think of it as “I like this school, so I’ll wear their t-shirt/sweatshirt/hat” instead of “I’m wearing this because I’m going to go there.”
Kind of like sports team shirts. You like 'em, but you don’t want to play for 'em. Well. Usually people don’t.
It might become awkward if I’m not accepted to these schools, but I don’t really know yet. I’m hoping I won’t suddenly stop liking them, though.

I have some stuff from the college my dad went to b/c I go to games (hockey & football) there every year. Didn;t even apply but I’m a bit of a superfan so I find that acceptable. I would never wear stuff from somewhere I “want” to go though, but I understand if someone has relatives/ a connection to some of these colleges then its definitely okay

I have attended BC for a full semester I still don’t have any real gear yet. (Save for the free Superfan t-shirt they handed out during orientation.)

I really don’t care that much about colleges and universities to seriously even buy their gear. Not even at my own alma mater.

^ lol BCs the school I was talking about. 12 years of hockey and football games & i’m not even applying b/c they don’t have my major =(

i bought a sweatshirt from one school i visited…but i’m basically burning it if i get rejected hahah

I bought tshirts/seatpants from 3 schools I visited. I ended up not applying to 2 of them, and so dont mind wearing the clothes. The 3rd I was accepted to but didnt really care either way since it was a state school and everyone wears things from there. I just yesterday visited and chose my future college. My mother decided to go on a shopping spree…I now own several tshirts, a sweatshirt, and a sticker for my car. hahah its fun though, shes excited since neither of my parents went to college.

I went to the Wake Forest/BC football game this past year during parents weekend. Siiiiiick game, just wish Wake Forest would have won. Iirc, WF came from like 11 down in the last few minutes. Then in OT, BC kicked a FG to go up by 3. Then WF had the ball on the 3 yard line on their possession, 1st and goal, and Riley Skinner fumbled!
