My friend was just mentioned the other day that he purchased a custom made essay online. He provided the website with the specific topic and paid about 40 dollars for a 3 pages essay, but he didn't receive it yet. Has anyone in here bought an custom written essay? If so, Is it really worth it and were you satisfied? I did a search and found out that there are actually hundreds of websites that offer this type of service. This seems to be very good, specially for juniors and seniors out there that are extemely burdened with several essays to write every week and 3 or more AP classes. I was actually thinking about paying for one of those websites just to see if it is really quality work that you can hand it in. Does anyone know which website is the best for this? I know this may seem poitically and morally incorrect, but,to me, when it comes to one's grades, every resource is credible.

What are your feelings about this new business and has anyone tried any of those websites?

I've looked at the sample essays on those sites and they're TERRIBLE in quality and I don't know what kind of dimwit wrote them. Your AP teachers will not only be able to find out about it in a mouseclick, but even if they're computer illiterate, they wil be sure to spot a C grade essay. Plagiarism and passing off the work of others, no matter how much bling bling you paid is wrong and can get you into serious trouble in the academic world, and land a blotch on your transcript if it gets out. College professors have been tossed out for plagiarism (recently happened at MIT). Besides, this may sound arrogant but my own writings are infinitely better that those buyable essays I've seen online. And no, I have too much work to do already than to write an essay for someone else no matter the $$ involved :D.

This doesn't just seem morally wrong, it is morally wrong. It's cheating, and you would be expelled for submitting a purchased essay at my S's school, and many others, I'm sure.
I also think it would be very easy to catch this sort of thing. Your friend has already told you he's doing it. How many others did he tell? If he goes through with this, he could be risking everthing he's worked for.

Dude, you've got real nerve asking for advice on this kind of stuff here. Do it yourself, and stop *****ing. People here have taken twice the workload you have and not done anything so morally demeaning.

haha, I'd take a guess that most of those essays are pretty poor quality. Usually only the slackers think up ways to help the other slackers because they know what slackers want. Just do the essay yourself, you'd probably make a better one just bs'ing it in five minutes than buying it.

I'm inclined to agree with CrazyGlue, lol...Anyway, an honorable person should not take suh an action as this. You don't need to take AP classes; you opt to, and it is a lame excuse to say that you are too burdened by your work to do it all. Aside from the fact that these are pretty much scams (and the writers of the essays probably only speak broken English), it is by no means advisable to do this. I'm certain your teacher can recognize your style at least partly by now, and to be honest, I'd rather keep my $40 and write the essay. Later in life, will you hire someone to do your job? Send someone in your place? This ridiculousness and blatant laziness needs to stop now.

Yeah, my teacher told us that they get passwords to use on the sites to view all the essays for free. I'm not sure if it's true or if he was just trying to scare us, but I really don't think it's worth getting caught. Just do the work.

actually postmaster, i think that smart, greedy people think of ways to "help" slackers. Slackers definitely don't do it, because... well... they're slackers. But I still don't support it. Such a dangerous thread on CC...

yeah i know some serious slackers and i can imagine their reactions when someone asks if they could write the same essays they dodged in high school.

I think while morally questionable, its more ethically wrong than anything.

And on another note many teachers have anti-plagiarism software. Every piece of work submitted at my school, or at least the major ones, is submitted on our online program at moodle, so the teachers can run it through the software. It deters most cheating, because here you most likely will get caught. When IB Extended Essay first drafts were handed in, a bunch of kids were caught with some plagiarized sections. Don't do it. You will most likely get caught.

the essays are guaranteed to be original, not plagarized, and custom written specifically to fulfill your needs and essay topic. So, i guess teachers would not be able to deem it plagarized. However, i do agree that a good teacher will promptly detect that the style is incosistent with the student's previous essays. Also, I am very skeptical about the level of literacy of those writers--although the site claims they hold masters degrees.

I guess i will just do the essay myself, but, for not so constientious students, isn't it better to have some essay, even if its purchased, than no essay at all?

And...for all you know..it could just be scam to get money off lazy, unmotivated students...

No, its not a scam. I tried it before. The essay lack quality and are just puffed with big words. If you have any questions, you can ask me about this.
