Buying prom tickets!

At my school, tickets are $50 per person. If you're going with a date, you're going to have to bring a guest. It's at a really nice hotel, so the price isn't too bad.

Prom tickets were $70 a couple last year...and yes, my boyfriend payed!
We don't have a senior prom, but we do have a Senior Banquet (semi-formal), where it's free for seniors and like $25 for dates out of school/in other grades.

$100 per couple, $50 per person. Large, ugly building, but really small room.

Mine is $30/single and $60/couple...which I used to think was expensive. Last year my date paid for my share of the limo ($60/person in our group...ouch), and I paid for his part of the ticket. I made my dress, and we ate dinner at someone's house, so it ended up being pretty cheap. :)

I go to an all-girls school, so guys offer to pay but since we invite them most of the time we just pay. It's like $140 or something per couple (we have to bring a date). At the co-ed schools around here, the girls usually offer to split it but the guy almost always pays. If I went to a coed school, that's probably what I would expect- I would offer, but I would expect the guy to pay.

expect me to pay, but i'll demand we split,

I really hope my date pays. She was the one that asked me and we are going as friends and such, I don't see why I should have to pay for everything. Plus apparently they are renting a limo, which is also going to cost lots of money, which unfornately I don't have a lot of right now.

yeah, it really depends on how extravagant the prom committee/class officers are willing to make the event and how much money they are willing to spend from their budget.i heard that lynbrook's junior prom this year is being held inthe gym because the people planning it want to save up money for senior prom..

In terms of paying, if I asked somebody to the prom (which I may do, i highly doubt somebody will ask me haha), I'd buy the bid. Of course, I'd probably hope that everybody splits the limo and I'd pay for pictures. Dinner...hmm. Hoping everyone pays?

My friend in chem class is a junior and he has to pay for the entire limo that he's renting with 8 other couples because the other people are spending $300+ on their tuxes and dresses. ahaha. I feel so bad for him. But my other friend whos a soph had to lend about 100 bucks to some junior for his prom..and he still hasnt paid her back. x_x

My dress was dirt cheap - with alterations and everything it was less than $300. Add that to hair, makeup, nails, limo, tux rental and tickets - yeah, it was expensive. But it was TOTALLY worth it, and I wish I could do it again.

Our prom was in a brand spankin' new banquet hall...really really nice, but cheap. Our class is poor.

Wait... a $300 dress is considered dirt cheap???

Wow, and I thought my school's prom prices were freaking ridiculous. What I think is moronic is that ASB is hiking up the prices EVERY week. It started off as $80/person.

I actually offered to pay for my ticket but my date said he'd pay for both of ours, which to be honest, is sort of a relief. But then again, girls say they have to pay for pictures...I didnt know that.

at my school, you don't even have to pay for prom tickets if you scored high on the state assessment test, which if you have half a brain, is quite easy!

^

That is the most awesome thing I have heard. I'm guessing your school is quite wealthy?

;D Yay I'm back! ^^ Thanks Anisha! o_o; Blah at my school, seniors go for free. >D
