Would it be difficult to come to the campus from the airport in Washington DC. Tickets to Baltimore are more expensive than those are to Wash DC.

Bear in mind that I'm an international incoming freshman.

Well, it's going to cost more for transportation back to campus. I haven't come from D.C., but I know the cab from BWI is 20-50 bucks, probably much more from D.C. You could also take the train/light rail from either though.

Are you talking about Washington Dulles? If so, then definitely yes---Dulles is like 1.5 hours (on a good day) from Hopkins, which means massive cab fare. BWI is much closer. But again, the light rail is always an option...

The two Washington airports are both more than one hour away from Baltimore and the Hopkins campus, so it is usually recommended that you fly into BWI (which is only 20 minutes away).

If you do fly into Reagan National (1.5 hours away) or Dulles (2 hours away) cab rides must be pre-arranged and they will cost usually over $100. If you will be renting a car with your family then it might be feasible to fly into one of the DC area airports.

Light rail is an option too but if carrying a lot of luggage it is not an easy way to travel.

Pay the extra cost and fly into BWI which is much more convenient.
