Well im trying to calculate my UC gpa and I even managed to get in the elc program, but i calculate my gpa and its not over 3.0. How fo you calculate the dang gpa.

Look at your transcript for 10th and 11th grade classes:

For unweighted classes (and honors classes UC does not approve as honor classes):
A - 4
B - 3
C - 2
D - 1
F - 0

For AP and honor classes the UC does approve of as honor classes:
A - 5
B - 4
C - 3
D - 1 (UC does not weigh D weighted grades)
F - 0

You only get a MAX of 8 semesters of weighted grades. If you have more than 8, then you should consider the extra grades as unweighted.

Add all points together, then divide by number of classes.

yeah i did that, i even received a D and and F my junior year and i still got in the elc program. Im confused as hell.

Oh, and I think it's possible to be ELC and not have a 3.0. (But I'm not entirely sure about this)

I dont think so, my friend got rejected from that because he had below a 3.0

May I ask from which classes you received your failing grades?

i got an f in american lit, but i also took AP enlgish lang at the same time and got a C. I also got a d in AP us history.

Oh, then I have no idea how you could get ELC. Those are classes that are extremely important to the UCs. These are semester grades, right?

yes, i am confused as hell. any help to answer this would be awesome.

bump please help
