Hi guys. I usually do really well in school but this year has been really hard for me. I've had problems with AP Chem and pre-cal and I know I'm getting Cs in those classes. So far my grades look like English A, Band A, US History A, Spanish B, Chem C, Pre Cal C.
I'm really worried because this is my junior year and I know colleges like to see an upward trend. I had straight A's my sophomore year and A's with only 2 B's freshman year. I'm not really a science or math person and I guess it shows.
I'm going to try really hard next semester to turn those C's into B's. I'm not trying to get into a super selective college like the Ivies. My question is how bad will the C's look and will they hurt me a lot.

Yes. But not significantly. You said you don’t want to go into the maths and sciences so just focus on bringing em up ACT’s/SAT’s the ecs and all you’ll be more than just fine for non Ivies
