I know this topic has been addressed in the forums before, and am aware of the basic requirements for switching from a L&S major to a HSSEAS one, but exactly how feasible is the transfer? Any first-hand accounts of a successful change/advice? I applied as a computational and systems biology major but realized that now I'm more interested in focusing on the computer science aspect with a minor in bioinformatics. But I didn't realize it'd be that difficult to switch, so I'm worried that I might never be able to get into cs. C&SB is supposedly an interdepartmental major under L&S but in conjunction with the engineering department, would that make it any easier? Also, would I be able to use AP credits or summer class credits to fulfill some of the change of major requirements, or is it strictly two quarters? If you have any relevant information on this matter, it would be greatly welcomed! :) I love UCLA and if it weren't for this worry I would definitely attend.
