i received cal grant B and i was wondering if they use fafsa results to determine how much i get. and if the cal grant and fafsa are two different reports? will all my schools see that i got a cal grant B?

Cal Grant eligibility is based on family income, family size, and GPA. FAFSA is different-- it looks at assets and income of parents and the student, and comes up with an EFC (expected family contribution) that schools use as an index to determine need and structure aid packages. So no, Cal Grant doesn't use FAFSA "results" to determine eligibility.

Your school will absolutely see that you got CAL Grant B-- in fact, the money will probably go directly to the school. So don't spend it just yet...

If the aid package your school offers doesn't include the Cal Grant, when they learn about it they will adjust the aid offer downward by the amount of the Cal Grant.
