Cal Grant GPA verification still not received

I attend Santa Monica College. I talked three times to the financial aid office and eventually, one lady was able to confirm that they will electronically submit my GPA.

However, when I log-in on the Cal Grant website, it looks like they haven't received it yet.

I will go talk to the FA office again, but I absolutely do not trust them. Should I try to file a late verification form even if a financial aid employee tells me that I should not when I go talk to them?

Also, if I fill out the Late GPA verification form, I know that I need to explain why there was a problem, but I am afraid that:

1/ the people at SMC will not accept to sign a form saying that they didn't do their job properly in the explanation section

2/ the people working for Cal Grant won't believe my story

Maybe I am just freaking out and my situation is normal, but if everything is checked on the cal grant website for you, then please let me know.

When filling out your fafsa, you were supposed to list Santa Monica College as one of the schools and put it at the bottom of the list, and SMC would verify your GPA automatically.

Thanks ReachTheEnd for your help! I really really hope that you’re wrong though, otherwise I won’t be attending any UC next year…

i attend pierce and they submitted my gpa electronically and i didn’t have to put pierce as one of my schools on fafsa since i know i wont be attending there i only put the schools i applied too for fall 2011. soooo yeah you should go double check with smc’s fin aid office.

@uclakid ok thanks, I had the same reasoning
