Cal Grant GPA Verification

where do i check the list of schools? i thought that was just on the FAFSA

are you talking about the college of attendance? that just says “orange coast college” which is my current community college.

Yeah, where it says college of attendance mine says, “UNIV OF CA - LOS ANGELES.”

Maybe it’s because I’m not currently enrolled at my CC?

where are you enrolled right now? or are you talking this semester off?

Yeah, I finished fall 2009, so I’m taking spring off.

Mine says college of attendance , “UNIV OF CA - BERKELEY” and I sent in my cal grant gpa form 2 weeks ago and it still hasn’t gotten checked off yet.

so what the hell? is the “college of attendance” supposed to say the current school we go to or the schools we applied to? where do they even get the info of the schools we applied to? the FAFSA?

yeah the fafsa. school codes,

Since you applied for fafsa for the 2010-2011 school year, it’s going to say the name of the school the aid will be used at and possibly your old cc. I go to UCSD and my cal grant page lists both UCSD and my old cc.

yeah mine says “UNIV OF CALIFORNIA - LOS ANGELES”. maybe its a sign :)

Na it’s just whatever schools you sent your Fafsa to

oh man, i should really work on that this weekend.

Mine has changed under school of attendance three times. First it said my CCC and then it said UNIV OF CA - BERKELEY and now UNIV OF CA - SAN DIEGO. But yeah my CCC has not sent in my gpa. Does anyone if we will be awarded CAL grants even if weren’t awarded them at our CCC my efc is $5000 which I know is not that low but high ether.

hey johnny,

do you know if ccsf is going to send the verfication automatically?

^ I asked my friend yesterday and he said they automatically do and when I checked last years Cal grant it says it was sent by City.

ok now mine says “STANFORD UNIVERSITY”. im gonna go ahead and be optimistic…its a sign   :)

Alright guys, I need to be straight up. Is there any chance of me receiving a Cal Grant or financial aid through FAFSA? My family has a high income, but we have lots of kids.

Do I have time to still apply for it? Where do I physically pick up the FAFSA papers? My school? Sorry, I just never thought I could possibly be eligible.

@emil

definitely apply to fafsa ( completely online) and your school will automatically do cal grant gpa verification for you and you will be set. Even if you have a high income, you might get $1000 dollars in grants.

[Financial Aid Estimator for the University of California, Berkeley - Input](<a href=“Financial Aid Estimator - UC Berkeley Financial Aid and Scholarships Office”>Financial Aid Estimator - UC Berkeley Financial Aid and Scholarships Office)

play around with numbers on that website, and it will give you an estimate of what aid you will receive

I mailed my gpa verification form on 2/5 and it finally got verified today. Looks like it takes 3 weeks!

Wow, Cal Grant STILL doesn’t have my FAFSA information. It was DONE being processed like 2 weeks ago. Did this happen to anyone else?
