Chance for Cal Poly general engineering with a 3.6 gpa.
GPA is going to have the most impact along with HS course rigor and the number of a-g courses beyond the SLO minimum you will complete. EC’s are great but your academics will be more important.
You have posted before for ME and General Engineering is also very competitive.
SLO is a Reach school
In terms of rigor, I took one honors course my sophomore year, two APs my junior year, and am taking AP Stats, AP Physics C, and APCS currently. I go to one of the top public schools in CA if that matters.
My A-G recs:
A History / Social Science (2 Years) 2
B English (4 Years) 4
C Mathematics (3 Years) 5
D1 Biological Science (1 Year) 2
D2 Physical Science (1 Year) 2
E Language Other than English (2 Years) 3
F Visual & Performing Arts (1 Year) 4
G College-Preparatory Elective (1 Year) 1
i think its a reach.
