Chances for Cal Poly SLO Engineering

SAT:1970
M:660
CR:660
W:650
(taking again)
WGPA:4.5
school doesnt tell us the non-weighted GPA but I would estimate it to beabout 3.85-3.925
seeing that I am ranked in the top 10 people
APs:
APUSH-5
AP CALC AB-5
AP CALC BC(next year)
AP Chem(next year)
AP Physics (Next year)

I would like to major in Comp. Science/Comp. Engineering

E.C.:
Clubs (some of which I am a leader) and band

i would be out of state
(ive heard that this particular school likes to admit out of state over in-state because they pool in more money that way

bump 10char

bumpbumpbump

You have a good chance at Cal Poly, even with THAT major.

-Good GPA
-Out of state
-Good additional A-G science background
-SLO doesn’t base admissions on your EC’s

(SLO is my second choice after Davis, I’m applying next year with a 4.1 GPA and 1800~ SAT so you have a better chance than me. Good luck.

Thanks for the feedback!!!

You’re a solid candidate, Solid GPA and SAT which are the two biggest factors at CAL POLY. Decent amount of AP’s too, I’d say you’re in.

Your GPA is great, you’re from out of state, and your SAT scores are pretty good. I’d say you’d get in now, but if you can raise that SAT score by 100-200 points, its definite.

Right Now: Match
After SAT Bump: Low Match / Safety

Good luck!

Ya your GPA is cal poly’s main concern and you have an amazing gpa.
