Called them they said they will still be sending out decisions throughout this month.
Also asked if i drop a class (On assist but not a part of golden 4 or Major impaction criteria listed on website) will it affect anything/will i have to update them she Said No.
guess imma keep her for her Word… hopefully shes right
my status still says ready for decision.
im transferring as a communications major:public relations
gpa:2.7
I’m finishing my 60 credits this spring
do i have a chance of getting in?
@Zygole I’m an impacted major and they accepted me based on my self reported application. So they don’t always ask for transcripts for impacted majors.
@alwaysbored123 might for impacted majors that require specific courses? I know for CS you need Data Structureand for some other majors require specific courses not everything necessarily on assist.
@Zygole correct, golden 4 and equivalent to data structures for CS
Have any of you guys heard back yet?
@Panitaispretty nope not yet. Have you?
Can I get some feedback on my last post everyone. Anything helps
did you guys get accepted on the weekends as well?
@permanentglue Your major is not an impacted program at CPP, so I believe you are not requested to send in transcripts yet. I’m in the same boat, sitting with a status of “Ready for Decision”, but no transcript requests. You have a very decent GPA overall, so it looks like you may have a good shot. Also, I’m not sure if you’re still considered local since you attend Chico State up in NorCal, even though your permanent address is considered local. No other action is needed yet, but you can always give A&R a call. Most likely, you just need to play the waiting game along with the rest of us. Best of luck!
@Neeman123 hello! Yea I got accepted back in early March, but I was wondering since a lot of people hadn’t heard back! @loyalfan49 no I got accepted on a Thursday! Does that count as part of the weekend already?
@Panitaispretty oh i see, congratulations and thanks!!
@TooOld4College Oh okay cool. Thanks for the feedback man
Been four months on “ready for decision”! Thought that decision was based on how early you submitted your application but I guess not, my friends who submitted their applications way later than I did already got in so I called the admissions center. They told me that my major (sociology) just became an impacted major so that’s probably why it’s taking so long. I hope she was right because I’m just getting the feeling I got rejected! SDSU took really long for an answer too and rejected me. I’m just going to have hope considering I am in the local area and the high school I attended few years back is part of their local high schools.
How do I get my financial aid award if I’m still at ready for desicion?
Hey friends, I made an account just to tell you guys my story and situation.
Well unfortunately my admission was denied on 04/11
Major: Dietetics
GPA: 3.46 as of Winter Semester
I’ve been a provisional admit since December and I already paid my ECD and orientation fee so I was shocked to find out I got rejected. I completed my GE’s except I’m currently taking my oral communication this current spring semester. Maybe because I didn’t complete it before spring is the reason for my admission to be denied?
@collegeishard95
I’m so sorry to hear that
That is my major, as well. I’m so nervous now.
I thought provisional admits had to send in their transcript after the Spring semester to see if they are still eligible? Everything has to be done by end of spring so I don’t see why you’d be denied for not being done with it by winter. Have you contacted anyone to find out more details, if possible?
Hi everyone I got accepted into Cal Poly Pomona about a month ago for Business, real estate, and law, I encountered an issue with my pre requisite Applied Calculus II class where it looks like I’m going to have to drop it so it doesn’t impact my GPA. My question is if I drop this class and retake it in the summer before I possibly go start Cal Poly in the fall will my application be revoked or looked at again? I have everything else done and I’ve also contacted admission but no one is answering my emails or calls so I thought I would ask here.
@socaldogmom
Yeah it’s very unfortunate. I thought so too, I just now tried calling the admissions office to ask what was the problem and he told me that he’s unable to discuss it over the phone and that I will have to make an appointment to meet with a representative.
@collegeishard95
Ugh. They are so hard to get any information from. Hopefully you get your questions answered and/or resolved. That must be a terrible feeling to have a provisional admit all this time and have it randomly ripped away from you. Once again, I’m really sorry that happened to you…
