<p>So I really want to get into Cal Poly, but I am unsure if I will get in. I know cal poly is very selective, but they do accept people that hav the highest gpa and sat and deny them. Also they do accept people with bad gpa and sat scores.</p>

<p>Do you think I will be able to get into Cal poly with a 3.83 unweighted gpa and a 900 sat ( just math and reading). I am very active in extracurricular activities with cross country and track, being captain of both teams. Also, I am mixed ethnicities if that will help any. What are my chances??</p>

<p>You’d have to be pretty special to get into Cal Poly with a 900 SAT. I really suggest that you retake that, or take the ACT instead. I’ve heard that Cal Poly actually prefers the ACT. The thing is, while the CSU application is really easy to complete since there’s no essay required, the only thing they’ll really be looking at is your grades and test scores, so those need to be good.</p>
