<p>I’m a transfer student and have yet to see a change in status. I don’t expect to hear anything for awhile, considering that the academic year doesn’t end till next week. It will take some time to calculate the amount of spots open from academic dismissal, students transferring out, etc. Keep your hopes up!!!</p>
<p>No change for me:(</p>
<p>I got rejected just saw this morning…so stupid. </p>
<p>Also rejected </p>
<p>changed to rejected as well. Oh well</p>
<p>I got rejected also:(</p>
<p>Computer Engineering Major - Rejected.</p>
<p>I received a physical rejection letter yesterday. I was expecting a rejection, but I’m still very disappointed, however. Regarding transfers: I have seen several posts about students getting accepted on their second try after sitting out a year. When considering the admission algorithm, the points awarded from having all required classed completed at the time of applying is significant… waitlist to acceptance kind of significance. Sitting out a year won’t matter long term. Cal Poly is definitely worth the wait. </p>
Hey sorry to bug you knowing that this is not for 2015. But I was just wondering how you got the email for the survey to accept/decline the waitlist offer. Did they send it to your cal poly slo portal? I can’t find an inbox there. Or did they just send it to whatever email you applied with?
Acceptance was first sent to the My Cal Poly portal which has a user name they assign and you set up a new password. This info was sent to your email after you apply. This is different than the VIP page used to set up tours. So, the acceptance email and any other correspondence like applying to honors, etc., was sent to the personal email associated with the My Cal Poly account and application, so it will go to that personal email. Hope this helps.
Currently on the waitlist for Aerospace Engineering
GPA 3.21
I’m only on the waitlist because I did super well in all the required courses and even have most of the recommended courses done, but I have Cs in my gen eds cause I’m stupid and didn’t try. Hope to hear from others on the waitlist!
@joessalinas What classes have you taken in regards to physics and math?
@aero88
I’ve taken the entire calc-based physics series, and I’m currently taking linear algebra (already completed all of calc and differential equations)
Major: Mechanical Engineering
GPA:3.43
I’ve been placed on the waitlist and freaking out because I want to go to SLO so badly. I was told it’s easier for female to get in for Engineering major but I guess not :/. Has anyone gotten the survey email from SLO yet?

I have, a few days ago
@kate04 it probably is easier because my (male) friend was flat out rejected for the same major with a 4.1 GPA and a 1400/1600 SAT, and I (female) was accepted to CS over other people with much better stats and I didn’t have any of the extra “points” for parents high school/veteran.
@emptyfridge Thank you for your information. However, I think your friend situation is different because I am a transfer student and he’ll be a freshman. 3.43 would probably be equivalent to 3.8-3.9 highschool GPA. Im crossing my finger right now hoping it is easier although I already got accepted into Cal Poly Pomona and most likely will go there instead.
