Same here. Just saw a post on Cal Poly facebook page, congratulation new acceptances. #maytheoddbeinourfavor
Are the acceptance/rejection letters still sent out even though the admissions office is closed this weekend?
@chyang11 It looks like based on posts on the regular decision thread as well as the CalPoly and Applying to College subreddits that they have stopped admission updates on the portal for the weekend. It’s starting to look a lot like transfer decisions will come out later next week.
I hate the waiting!
me too…
Any hope that we will hear on Tuesday or do you guys think it’ll be closer to Thursday? The past week has felt so long…
I think it’s best to just breath natural and check your portal once daily. They will probably start sending responses next week and the week after.
I am just gonna check it on Sunday midnight lol
What does everyones college GPA look like and what majors? Curious
3.76 business ad- accounting. Looks like I have a solid chance but it’s all up in the air till I get a response.
Major: Computer Science
IGETC: No
Major Prep: Yes, currently taking speech, my last requirement
GPA: 3.67
ECs: Paid internship at a tech company,
In-State
I kind of applied to this school last minute after applying to 7 UC campuses, but it would be a pleasant surprise if I got in.
3.87 CSU GPA - Bus Admin (Accounting)
Bus Admin (also Accounting) with a 3.73 GPA (I accidentally posted the wrong GPA before)
Accountant high five lol. It is agreed to be one of the best schools for accounting. If I get accepted and can reasonably afford it it’s probably my first choice. That then SDSU but I don’t know I might just stay in the Valley and go to Northridge they also got a great program.
@schneybley this post from a few years ago has good information on accounting programs in california in case you want to check it out. I used it as a guide when I picked what schools to apply to.

@schneybley I’m trying to get as far away from the valley as possible and didn’t even apply to csun but it’s definitely a great option for a lot of programs!
Believe me man I have scopes far across the internet for info like this and at this point it’s not like I can apply to anywhere else. Even though I only applied to a few schools I think I picked the best ones for me. Maybe UCR and SJSU would have been worth a look but whatever. It’s a shame CSUN isn’t more recognized because it is actually a good school it tends to just get dismissed as an average CSU where almost anyone locally can apply and get it.
Actually many threads have posted that because accountancy is mandated and 80% of the courses you take are the same wherever you go it doesn’t matter as much as other majors where you study as long as the business school is AACSB accredited. As long as you attain a high GPA and get some experience interning and be a part of the honor society you will probably see job prospects in your future. And to dancergirl I can understand if you like grew up or just hate the valley for whatever reason I can see how the idea of CSUN isn’t appealing I know other people like that and I would probably the same way if I lived in Culver City still but frankly I kind of like my place in the valley other than the heat so it doesn’t really phase me if all my other plans fail.
It seems like a lot of us on CC who are applying for Business Admin- Accounting lies around the 3.7- 3.8 gpa range. Good luck to all of us!
Yeah and based off of last years thread with those GPA’s it could go either way. Although your EC’s look super strong as well. Is anyone else on this thread trying to get into SDSU’s accounting program? With SLO it looks like anything is possible but with SDSU if you’re an out of area applicant it’s possible but seems even more unlikely even though its a less prestigious school.
