@mysticalforest well it was a desired class and it wasn’t offered anywhere near my college.
I’m from Norcal/ bay area - north of SF. I was admitted on Monday, and submitted my application the day before the deadline, and my last name is at the end of the alphabet. I hope this helps those who are trying to figure out how the heck they are releasing the acceptances, I know I can’t figure out the pattern! Still waiting to hear for my bf and other close friends. The wait has been terrible!

Looking at all the info over the last few days then, we can rule out it being based on location, first/last name, major, order of application submission, or college. So my guess is that it’s truly random order.

Just checked, I am also on the waitlist as a Math major. I’m happy that I got on the waitlist rather than an outright rejection, since I was lacking 2 major prep classes and had a mediocre GPA of 3.1. Good luck to the rest of you guys!
@winonos Thanks! Best of luck to you as well. I applied as a Software Engineering major. Keep checking, I’ve heard that CP will continue to roll out Waitlists/No’s today and tomorrow.
Same. Waitlisted. Pretty bummed, I thought I had a decent chance. Psych major, 3.78 GPA. 1 prep and 1 from IGETC would be finished by spring so that may be why.
@blasbcptransfer Actually I just talked to admissions and they “arent even close to being done sending out acceptances” so not sure where your info is from, lol
@Tpw417 it’s odd, they usually don’t release WL/rejections till after the acceptances were out.

Now it’s time to wait on the UCs and a few out of states. Super bummed though because Cal Poly was one of my top picks.
