Got my email for being waitlisted. It reads at the bottom:
“You will be notified of your final waitlist status no later than July 15, 2017 via your MyCalPoly portal.”
lmaaaooo if I wait that long to make a decision I might as well prepare to not be in college next year.
Looks like my other options it is! Good luck to anyone still waiting, I’m going to take the L for SLO. Glad to have been apart of this thread for my transfer experience and I hope everyone gets into their desired schools!
@jonathaanv Take care! c: Lol I was thinking the exact same thing. I have heard that some people have gotten accepted after being put on the waitlist for at earliest a week afterwards on reddit but QQ I honestly can’t wait too long… Here’s hoping, but it was definitely nice talking to everyone.
@winonos I put that I still want to be considered for admission to SLO on the survey I was sent, but I’ve basically moved on already ha. Most schools want you to submit your letter of confirmation by like June or something, so there’s no way I’m going to wait until July for a single school. Hope everything goes well for you!
@jonathaanv Yeah and I know SJSU and CSU MB require a $100 deposit–if I were to change out, I unfortunately can’t wait for Cal Poly that long and waste a deposit to another school :c I wish the very best for you!! c:
I got waitlisted for business admin! I completely ruled out Cal Poly since I hadn’t heard back but it looks like they’re doing admissions differently this year!
Sucks to see you guys get waitlisted. I’m thinking that since the whole college experience isn’t really what I’m after, I’m comfortable with where I’m at in the Valley, and CSUN seems like it will give me the tools needed to succeed I might decline my offer of admission soon so maybe that will open up a door for one of you guys who are business-accounting.
@schneybley That’s really considerate of you, but an offer to attend Cal Poly is nothing to scoff at! I’m sure you’ve earned it with your own hard work. I hope that no matter where you choose to go out of your feelings and situation, it was well worth it in the end. c:
I am honored that Cal Poly has chosen me and I haven’t made any final decisions yet. It’s just a matter of weighing Pro’s and Con’s of each choice and frankly in addition to what I said earlier going to a really prestigious school isn’t too big a deal for me if my cheaper local option will still set me up to succeed. I’m just trying to get more info since my only concern is that it might be harder to get into a major firm from CSUN but as of right now I feel that if I continue to earn high grades and am a active member of my school’s honor society I might still succeed there.
Jaximus… same here ive been creeply following the thread since applications were submitted… then accepted…and now I’m still in limbo land …no decision made yet
They’re having another planned outage tonight like they did before they released freshmen decisions a few weeks ago. I don’t know what that means but I’m going to remain positive…
