CAL Poly SLO fall 2017 what are my chances

I have a MCA of 4268. Applying for Agribusiness.
Cal Poly GPA (includes freshman year) 3.77
ACT 30
4 years math including 2 advanced math
3 years science including AP
4 years language
2 years visual arts
21+ hours leadership.

What are my chances of acceptance?

Agribusiness has around a 50% projected acceptance rate. Your GPA and ACT score look within range. You should have a good chance at an acceptance.

Average GPA: 3.90 Average ACT: 28

Good Luck.

Wow, thanks Gumbymom. Does agribusiness always have a 50% acceptance rate, or is that for fall 2017? Thanks again.

SLO sets up target projections for all majors each year so it can fluctuate depending upon how many applicants they admit and how many actually accept. For Fall 2015, they projected 160 Freshman admits would accept enrollment and they enrolled 170.
For 2016, the projection was 150 enrolled but actual admits are not posted.

Agribusiness can have over a 75% projected acceptance rate based on previous years projections.

D has an MCA of 4359. Does anyone have an idea of her chances for Liberal Studies? Trying to find data in previous threads, but haven’t come across it yet. This is not the same as Liberal Arts–Liberal Studies is a major for those who wish to be elementary school teachers and is part of the College of Science and Math. Thanks.

@luckymom22: The projected target acceptance rate for Liberal Studies is 52% so your D has a good chance at an acceptance. @eyemgh just starting collecting MCA data last year from accepted students, so there is little data available. Her MCA score does not look bad and since SLO is not offering ED, not sure if it will more competitive or less competitive than previous years.

Thanks, @Gumbymom!

What are my chances? I understand I’m on the lower average …
