Cal State Eligibility Index Question

Hi, I applied to CSUSM, CSULB, Chico, SDSU and Cal Poly. For Cal Poly I applied with Communications as my intended major and for all the others as Undeclared. I was curious to know what eligibility index is good for these majors at these schools. Thanks!

Cal Poly SLO does not use eligibility index but MCA points instead which can include bonus points for increased HS course rigor, EC’s, major related jobs etc…

For Cal Poly Pomona and the rest of the CSU’s, the EI is used to rank applicants by major. Impacted campuses/impacted majors will require a higher EI than non-impacted campuses/majors.

EI’s can fluctuate from year to year due to the stats of each in-coming applicant class. Unfortunately they have been trending continually up so any EI’s quoted are based on more historical data vs. what will actually be the current thresholds.

For SDSU, an EI of 4100+ has been competitive, although many applicants above this EI threshold were waitlisted or denied last year.
For CSULB, around a 3900+ has been competitive
For CPP, around a 3800+ for most non-impacted majors.
For Chico State, around a 3700+
For CSUSM, around a 3200+
