Cal State Fullerton vs. CSU Long Beach vs. washington state University

I have a post here for artschools but am also going to be applying to these three Universiites, out of these three, which has better facilties for Illustration ? in case I don't get into art school they'll be my backups.which one is better for job placement / portfolio prep? any info would be cool, anybody know anything about these schools?

What about just Washington u's in general or even Colorado, Arizona, Oregon? i might go to these state's schools through WUE but only if their art programs are good.thanks for any info.

I don't know anything about the relative merits of the California schools, but I can comment on Arizona's schools. Arizona State University in Tempe has a very well-respected School of Design for industrial design, graphic design, and interior design majors, but it has no "art" majors. On the other hand, the University of Arizona in Tucson has no design majors but it does have a School of Art. At UA you can earn degrees in art, art education, and art history but there is no specific "illustration" major. In fact, if you look through the UA catalogue, you'll see very few courses that even relate to drawing, illustration, etc. I wouldn't advise paying out-of-state tuition for such slim pickings, as you can almost certainly find a better choice among the California schools for much less money.

Through the WUE program. I'd be going as almost a resident (resident tuition is $3,470-745, WUE tution is $ 5,190 while non residents are $11-12,852) .The schools I want to apply thru WUE are Boise State U, Western Washington U and Washington State University. I might want a change of scenery, try out WA or ID for a while.

I can also apply to MT schools(WUE/WICHE), the ones I like are MSU Billings(cool dorms, art dept. accredited by NASAD, )MSU Western , and MSU Northern( look up catalogs and request info tomorrrow). anybody kow anything about MT schools? are they good schools for art?

Is CSU San Jose State University a good school in their animation/illustration program?

CSULB is one of the top art schools in the country. Also check out Cal Art s for illustration and ask about scholarships.
