Cal States for ME.

I am deciding between Cal State Long Beach and Cal State Los Angeles as a Mechanical Engineer. I am leaning more towards Cal State Los Angeles because it not only has a great program, but the amount of students at Long Beach makes getting classes very difficult-especially with budget cuts now-.

Going to a UC is out of the question, not becuase of my grades, but because it is to much money and there is no way to pay for it. So I am left to decide between these two schools. Cal Poly Pomona was to far of a commute and I can't afford housing so I had to eliminate that option. Reading these forums makes it seem as I won't land even a half decent job going to either of these schools. Kind of makes me pessimistic, but I will excel at either of those two schools because I enjoy it.

What are your opinions on this matter?

Thanks in advance.

my gut feeling is that CSULB is better, probably cause the university is more prestigious and the engineering there is more established

but if youve done your research and you feel that CSULA is better, then you should probably go there

note that /all/ campuses are facing severe budget cuts
