But Ryan, I didn't mention that for some of them, I had just run out of time before reaching the end. Since I concentrated as well as I could on the ones I DID do, I suppose my MC scores are higher than I was estimating. And when I did omit (aside from the ones I didn't reach), I did either b/c a question was too time-consuming, or b/c it was something that I couldn't recall right away. I figured, why hold myself up on those questions when there are several other questions ahead I can get through quickly and effortlessly! On the down side, I just missed doing the area question on the non-calc MC. Darn... it would have been an easy point too :( Haha oh well. Again, let's stop thinking about scores now! I'm gonna go study for AP Physics. Good luck to you all on your other APs (if you have any more). Later ;)

I think I have a solid shot at a 5 (solid 4 at the lowest) at both exams so far, not because I'm a great student (my preparation was minimal) but because the curves are so freakin' generous. No complaints, though.

I omitted just 3 questions. I rarely omit questions on standardized tests...it's almost always possible to guess.

How are the curves? 60% 70% or 80% (for a 5)

For the traffic one, did u get that you would need a signal?
The value was above 200,000 I do believe

At one point a value over two hours definately was.

Yeah...I found the maximum on the curve and used a 2 hour interval with the maximum as the center point. I think I pwned that question

I feel pretty good about it. Hopefully I got enough right to get a three. That's all I need for college credit.

I ROCKED! YEA! lol... one exam i know i passed! woo hoo....

lit tomorrow... gahhh...

yeah pwned that traffic problem one..after i did it i kinda marveled at it for a second (or so)..felt nice to pwn the collegeboard :)

What was the volume for the first FR question? Was it like.. 2.something?

I never got the first part of the damned car problem, forgot to use by parts for the damn integral (unless there was a totally other way to do the problem, because past the 2 hour mark I was going insane)! ARGH! Looks like AP Government will be my only 5 this year (joke of a class...) BTW I'm not in AP Calculus, I'm in a Calculus 1-2 class at my local community college, I only took the AP test as a fail-safe (don't want to send Berkeley a transcript saying I failed 2nd semester of Calculus)!!!

"What was the volume for the first FR question? Was it like.. 2.something?"

Yes, I got a similar answer. :)

sanguine: yay I did the same thing with that traffic problem!!! It was like 13 to 15 something or so. Yeah, I felt super smart. I thought that it was ridiculously easy compared to past years...I mean, I knew how to do all of it and that rarely ever happens on practice AP tests for me!!! yay! so, I'm shooting for a 4, but I want a 5! I don't get credit for it anyways, but I want to make my amazing teacher look good!

dragon17,

66-108 was the cut off for a 5 in 2003, and it was the lowest one in Calculus AB's history. Since the publication of that test, there was numerous criticism over the leniency of the curve, and collegeboard had stated that the cut off will never be as low as that in future tests.

for the car traffic one i did over 18 hours, so 9 intervals. 9x200,000 needed minimum for the traffic light. the area of the curve from 0 to 18 was like 7 million so i said yes, it needed a traffic light. is this fine too? what will i get?

chrislee: lol you did the problem completely wrong, sorry. it said that it was the product of cars turning left and going straight, in a 2 hour interval, so 500 cars going straight x 400 cars turning left = 200000. so anytime x>=400 on the graph, that meant it needed a traffic light

topboy, do you know what the new cutoffs are? That was the only table I could find...

GRR . AM i like the only one who thought everything was a breeze except the MC calculator portion :(

Apparently I was retarded while taking the test...I said that from 12.4 to 16.2 is less than 2 seconds. Yes! Harvard here I come!
