Calculating college classes into high school GPA

I took one semester of US history and one semester of Political Science at a local college instead of taking AP US History at my high school. (2 semesters of this combo are the replacement for AP US history at my high school at for the UC’s.).

At UC’s and CSU’s my high school GPA would be recalculated to include these courses since they do appear on my transcript and i took them in lou of a high school course… my question is will other schools do this as well? I mean, college classes i took do appear on my transcipt however do not get calculated into my overall high school GPA, will the non UC and CSU schools i apply to recalculate those classes into my GPA you think?

i am in the same boat as this person so ne answers would be helpful........i actually have to calculate my gpa myself for csu so i wanna know whether or not i would get an estra point for earning an A (5pts instead of just 4)

Yes, you do earn the extra point for a UC:CSU transferable class.

1 extra point, however. All other standard rules apply.

what about my question...

since they are in lou of AP US for the high school class..
the class is not transferable is it? because then it would be acting on dual credit, which I dont think works. (correct me if im wrong).

yes some other high schools do have courses that don't count toward the high school GPA.

and from what I've heard from my counselors, they do recalculate the GPA

The classes are transferable and i am concurrently enrolled... so does that mean I can't get it calculated into my GPA?

Be careful though...when you put college courses on your transcript it DOES lower your GPA. CC classes are not weighted on your transcripts that are sent to other schools!

Seriously? How do you know? Where do you here this?

mmmmbump............

please.... anyone know >?
