Recently my TI84 stopped working and I needed to get a new calculator. I got the TI-nspire CX CAS. After using it for 2 days I’m still not getting used to it. Are the extra features it has really that helpful on the sat? Should I just return it and get another 84?

You shouldn’t need any really advanced functionality for the SAT…
I don’t have an NSpire CX CAS, but I used the original NSpire which is pretty similar in functionality to the 84 (except with higher resolution, better UI). I only remember using the basic calculator functions, and occasionally nSolve(…).
