I was interested in taking the Physics C test and was curious to know how much Calculus I would need for it.

I understand differentiation, trig limits/differentiation, implicit differentiation, and am planning to learn optimization.

The reason that I ask is that I'll be in IB next year, so I haven't had any Calc exposure yet.

As far as I know, it’s integration and differentiation of polynomials, basic trig, e^x, and ln x.

The Physics C exams aren’t calculus exams, so it’s not that intensive. But they also have to make it harder than Physics B so they add some calculus. It’s really basic stuff. Like you might x, v, or a as a function of t and then you have to do w/e they ask. The MC section does that a lot, and sometimes there’s an FRQ. Calculus is more in E&M because you need to integrate over semicircles and stuff to find E or V
