As does the University of South Carolina’s Honors College and a number of others around the country. My son is in the Honors College at Clemson and, in my opinion, the fee is negligible in comparison to the value he gets from being in Honors and, in general, being at Clemson. Worth every penny to us.

I agree with Proud Mary. The $300 per semester has been well worth the perks, scholarships, and opportunities that my son has benefited from through Calhoun Honors over the past 3 years!

Accepted to honors college, 3.4 uw gpa at a very competitive international school (no class ranking), 2240 SAT, with some ec- not a ton but very involved in volleyball, choir, and NHS. Considering going to clemson, wondering whether or not to live in Holmes Hall. Opinions? Im pretty social- i hate staying in on friday and saturday nights, if that helps.

DS is a junior. We’re visiting Clemson over our spring break (Tues, 3/29). We signed up for a morning campus tour. Should we try to meet with someone from Calhoun? I see that you can register on line to meet with a student but would it be useful to meet with someone on the staff of the program?

^guess that decision is up to you, if you or your DS feel you need to talk to a staff member to get some more information, you can try and do that.

DS received his invitation via email today. He was originally denied but also apparently wait listed. We are hoping for an offer of additional academic scholarship as well. Clemson is his number one choice, Florida & Florida State are two and three. The difference between Clemson and our in-state schools, even with the OOS waiver, is significant.

My Daughter was accepted into Calhoun. She is OOS but needs more money to attend. Clemson is her No. 1 choice but the lowest school for money which is so sad.
OMG, the printing alone saves a ton a semester, plus the perks!! Very good value! Plus looking at other Publics and Private Coll/Univ, very good value for the $$$> cost!
