<p>I am a Californian living on the coast less than a mile from the ocean. None of my family is concerned about the radiation. In fact, the news stations reported that the levels aren’t even higher than a CAT scan’s radiation.</p>
<p>Once again, the media is taking what a few people on the extreme side are doing and making it seem like everyone’s doing it.</p>
<p>I have heard of people doing that, but most people just laugh it off because as the poster above me said, the levels are so low.</p>

If a few 1,000 people do something that does not mean Californians are running around in a panic regarding radiation. Yet, if it is fun for you to believe that go ahead and believe it.</p>
<p>I live in Southern California and I think that this whole radiation craze is entirely inflated and irrational. I don’t see any reason to run around and panic (or buy kelp for that matter).</p>
<p>I live in the Bay Area and I have not seen anyone buying kelp, whatever that’s supposed to mean.</p>
<p>And that is also why California has arguably the best public school in the nation…</p>

<p>Why do I fail? Because LA’s public schools have a 50% dropout rate or is it because you elected an Austrian actor as the leader of your state which is obviously thriving now.</p>
<p>I’m also from CA. Haven’t heard anyone buying pills or worrying about radiation levels here. Story didn’t make our local papers and didn’t see anything on the internet related to this. Hope I didn’t make any grammatical errors or misspell any words. I’d hate for you to think eye waz stupud.</p>

<p>I resent this thread. It’s obviously an open invitation for both misinformed people and just people who aren’t from CA to display just how misinformed they are and how bitter they are that they aren’t from here. </p>
<p>I don’t see why the whole of CA is deemed stupid because of some people’s actions. As made apparent by the fact that some of the best institutions in the world are located here, we are far from dumb.</p>
